City of the Unexpected

Maddie played Miss Ladybird in National Theatre Wales' city wide celebration of Roald Dahl's centenary year. She was lifted from a giant peach fourteen metres up onto the battlements of Cardiff Castle. Later that evening she married a fireman at City Hall. Immersive theatre took place around the streets of Cardiff from the large scale to the intimate and  civic institutions and community groups were involved in Wales' largest ever cultural event.
